Something a bit experimental. I always dreamed about scanning very large surfaces, kilometres across. Of course I neither own a satellite nor a Lidar plane. So I came up with a workaround, taking thousands of screenshots from Google map's 3D view!
This started more as a joke/proof of concept, but the results are actually surprisingly good, it was a bit hard to tile but nothing impossible.
Surfaces are 8192²
Obviously, the data belongs to Google and this is not to be used commercially.
